Home Alliance, Inc.
Home Alliance, Inc. was established in 1999 as a non-profit corporation with 501(c)3 tax exempt status for the purpose of developing and operating affordable housing for lower income families including homeless and those with special needs. The corporation is certified by the Waccamaw HOME Consortium and S.C. State Housing Finance & Development Authority as an affordable housing developer. Home Alliance owns and operates 43 housing units in Myrtle Beach and is authorized to develop housing in Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties.
Another Important service to the community is the corporation's involvement in partnerships with other non-profit organizations to develop housing for their own programs. Examples include the North Strand Housing Shelter, which serves autistic persons in Horry and Georgetown counties. Home Alliance, Inc. also partners with private development organizations including Douglas Development and Bradley Development in the creation of affordable housing projects in Horry County.
